These Crispy Air Fryer Mushrooms are the perfect healthy game day appetizer recipe. Tender mushrooms are coated with Parmesan Panko Breadcrumbs and cooked to perfection in your Air Fryer. I love to dip mine and ranch and enjoy the big game!

Air Fryer-The Best Invention Ever?

An Air Fryer cooks your food to crispy perfection by rapidly moving hot air around it. By doing this (and often using a little bit of oil), you can get those “deep fried’ results that everyone loves. But you are using a fraction of the oil and so you can eat all these delicious dishes without the guilt!

I currently use two different Air Fryers and they are both awesome.

I also have a Black+Decker Air Fryer that isn’t quite as fancy but it works great!

No End To Fun Air Fryer Recipes

I’ve been Air Frying just about everything I can lay my eyes on these days. It started with the 0bvious stuff, like these Chicken Tenders and these Chicken Wings. Then I even started making my own Air Fried versions of some of my favorite Asian Dishes like this General Tso’s Chicken. But lately, I’ve begun to Air Fry vegetables. I’ve realized that Air Fried vegetables can often make an awesome snack, side dish or appetizer. For instance, this Air Fried Buffalo Cauliflower is one of my most popular dishes on this site. So, I thought that it would be fun to create another Air Fryer recipe that would be perfect to share with friends while your watching your favorite games on TV over the weekend.

What Kind Of Mushrooms Can You Air Fry?

Any kind of mushrooms will work in the Air Fryer. Portobello mushrooms are FANTASTIC when Air Fried. And, while this version is breaded, you can Air Fryer your mushrooms without breading if you choose.

Not too long ago, I posted a recipe for Healthy Air Fryer Mushrooms. These are non-breaded and coated with Worcestershire sauce and other special seasonings. They came out so delicious that I thought I’d try coating them with a mixture of panko bread crumbs and parmesan cheese and seeing what the result would be! I was pretty happy with how they turned out! If your looking for a healthier, vegetarian option for an appetizer or snack to share with friends and family on game day, you’ve got to check this out!

Crispy Air Fryer Mushrooms

The ingredients that you will need are super simple:

  • Mushrooms
  • Egg
  • Flour
  • Parmesan Cheese
  • Panko Bread Crumbs
  • Salt and Pepper

I’ve been coating a lot of my dishes with Panko Bread Crumbs before I put them in an Air Fryer. One tip that I’ve found helpful is to put the bread crumbs in a food processor for a short period of time. This breaks them up into even smaller pieces and they stick to your food a little bit better.

I love to dip mine in Sriracha ranch. That is super simple to to make, just to 1/4 cup of ranch to 1 tsp of Sriracha sauce. It gives it just the right amount of heat!

Enjoy this recipe for Air Fried Mushrooms! Let me know what sauces that you like to dip yours in! I’m always looking for new suggestions. Thanks for reading!
